On November 3, 2011, nearly 1,200 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students will arrive at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona for the annual Arizona FCCLA Fall Leadership Conference.

With this year’s FCCLA theme being “University of AZ FCCLA,” it is our goal to introduce Arizona High School students to the diverse opportunities for post-secondary careers in the classroom content areas in which they are currently enrolled. Though this, AZ FCCLA is partnering with TRI-Leadership, LLC., who will coach students on workplace employability “soft” skills and representatives from industry will enhance the learning by describing what they are looking for in their employees and the educational requirements. AZ FCCLA is also hosting its first annual “Tradeshow Event” highlighting vendors from different industry fields, personally introducing the numerous career opportunities available to students beyond what they learn in the classroom.

FCCLA is a recognized national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO). Students in FCCLA are enrolled in Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Fashion and Interior Design, and Hospitality Management courses.
