Heather Webb is a true advocate for CTE! She promotes CTE Programs to all students as a valuable secondary and post-secondary pathway. Heather coordinates opportunities to show CTE students and officers to incoming 9th grade students at high school and district events. As the co-coordinator of freshman transition visits, she collaborates with 8th grade teams to provide CTE programs tours where CTSO representatives are the tour guides. Heather has also served as co-coordinator of CTE Camp Monsoon, where they experience CTE Programs before their freshman year serving as a key component to a successful transition program.

Heather Webb is a hard-working member of school counseling at Valley Vista High School in the Dysart Unified District. Heather serves a mentor to other school counselors and provides opportunities for better understanding and role that CTE plays for students now and in the future. She aligns career guidance with ASCA standards. She is highly visible within both CTE and School Counseling Professional “circles”. She presents annually at Region V, ACT State Conference, Mid-Winter Leadership and ACTE Summer Conference.

Heather can relate because she also was FFA President during high school and she recognizes the lifelong learning values. She also met with U.S. Congress Representatives in DC regarding CTE and she works as a Co-Coordinator with our ACTEAZ Leadership Fellows. Heather’s Sophomore ACTEAZ Fellows organized the Scholarship Auction and they broke the record for scholarship monies at the auction. Heather Webb is a genuine professional who is stellar at her job and who is willing to share and mentor others.
