Mastering the Art of Motivation

June 17, 2026 @ 8:00 am - 3:30 pm

“Mastering the Art of Motivation” is an advanced course that builds upon foundational classroom management skills. This course is designed for high school educators to equip them with the philosophy and practical tools needed to cultivate a motivating and empowering environment within their Career and Technical Education (CTE) classrooms and laboratories. Grounded in Arizona’s Professional Skills Standards, the course serves as a guiding framework for establishing clear rules and procedures that foster student engagement and success. Educators will be trained to instill a Growth Mindset among their students, nurturing resilience and a passion for learning. Throughout the course, teachers will learn gradual strategies to delegate responsibility to their students, empowering them to take ownership of their learning journey. By the course’s conclusion, educators will have the skills and confidence to entrust their students with the management of various class components, including behavior monitoring, objective setting, and quality evaluation. Through this transformative educational experience, teachers will be equipped to create dynamic and student-centered classrooms conducive to lifelong learning and success.

Upon successful completion of the course, which includes submission of homework, participants will receive an ADE certificate for 15 professional development clock hours, which equates to one (1) semester hour of coursework.
