Mike McAfee recently retired from the Arizona Auto Dealers Association, leaving a lasting legacy for students, teachers, and automobile dealers that he tirelessly served over the years. Mike designed systems and built partnerships to connect students with career pathways of economic independence. Students are living the American Dream because of Mike. In addition, local dealerships have the much needed talent pipeline because of Mike’s passionate devotion.

Mike McAfee served as the AADA Director of Education for over 22 years working with high school and community college programs, guiding them with the Automotive Service Education accreditation process, mentoring & developing relationships with the school and local businesses. Mike nourished opportunities for students and the dealerships, including partnerships with Freightliner and national SNAP ON Certifications.

Please celebrate these statistics. Arizona has 23 Automotive Service Excellence Accredited Programs in 14 Schools and places more students in industry than any other state. (Arizona placed 133 students in 2021 of the 404 placed nationally). This is commitment and achievement at its finest.

Mike has developed programs to assist students overcome obstacles to enter the workforce with “Tools for Success” scholarship programs providing students with starter tool sets.

Mike McAfee has served as our Business Representative on the ACTEAZ Board of Directors for over 15 years. In 2012 Mike McAfee was inducted into our ACTEAZ Circle of Distinction who are Captains of Industry. Mike is a true friend of CTE in Arizona and areas throughout the country.
