Three Arizona Finalists Named 2021-2022 U.S. Presidential Scholars in CTE
Submitted by Cathie Raymond | Deputy Associate Superintendent/State Director Career and Technical Education Arizona Department of Education

We are thrilled to announce that three of Arizona’s nominees for U.S. Presidential Scholars in CTE were named finalists this year!

Nationwide, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program was able to recognize up to 20 outstanding CTE scholars in 2021-2022, however only 17 CTE scholars were named this year – and we are so excited that three of them were from Arizona!

Congratulations to:

• Glendale – Salil Naik, Mountain Ridge High School, Glendale, Arizona
• Mesa – Lydia Marie Pastore, Red Mountain High School, Mesa, Arizona
• Scottsdale – Ayva Francesca Kacir, Desert Mountain High School, Scottsdale, Arizona

Keep up the good work, Arizona CTE!
