AzHOSA’s Camp Theme “PASS IT ON” Develops Successful Chapter Officer Leaders

Submitted by Ryan Hamilton.

On September 11-13, 2014, HOSA – Future Health Professionals joined Family, Career and Community Leaders of America of Arizona members and advisors for a successful chapter leadership camp in Prescott, AZ. This leadership development training brought together local chapter officers from 21 HOSA chapters from high schools throughout Arizona for three days of dynamic teambuilding and youth leadership development. TriLeadership Resources led the training, which included communication workshops, teambuilding, leadership and networking activities. Members were checking to see if they could “Transform into a Health Hero” and “Pass It On!” Leadership development activities led by state officers, the HOSA/FCCLA’s talent show and chapter time were all part of the experience. The camp was a sell-out and members and advisors from across the state learned the value of this leadership camp experience! Look for the AzHOSA chapter officer leadership camp next year!

Members were introduced to the new AzHOSA events that will occur throughout the year, including the upcoming FLEX Conference (Fall Leadership Extravaganza!) on November 7 which will include nearly 4,500 high school and college students from across the state in AzHOSA – Future Health Professionals, FCCLA – Family, Career and Community Leaders of America of Arizona and FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America – Arizona.
