SUMMARY:Lesson Plan Writing (Asynchronous\, Online)
DESCRIPTION:September 5 – October 20\, 2023 \nThis class will show you how to build a lesson plan with all the needed components for student success. Wouldn’t you love to learn to write lessons that allow you to walk into your classroom each day feeling fully prepared? This class will help you with that goal. Each teacher will complete a task analysis for one or more measurement criteria\, determine the number of lessons to be written for the unit of instruction and write the first lesson in the unit. \nWhat is Asynchronous Online Learning? The only difference is that this course is offered online and asynchronously. Asynchronous learning means that the instructor (Kimberly) and the students in the course all engage with the course content at different times and from different locations. The instructor provides students with a sequence of modules which the students move through as their schedules permit. Each unit might make use of assigned readings or uploaded media\, interactive checks for understanding\, and more. The instructor guides the students\, provides them with feedback\, and assesses them as needed. \nADE Credit Available: Yes – 1 Semester Hour (SH) Credit Satisfies Professional Knowledge (PK) deficiencies \nPrerequisite – Successful completion of Instructional Best Practices \nCourse Length:  15 hours over a 6-week period \nTime: Self Paced \nLocation: Online\, Zoom\, and a Learning Management System \nLink: https://infohub.pimajted.org/login?&page=%2Fevents%2F287 \nIf you do not have a Pima JTED account\, please contact Mary Andrade at mandrade@pimajted.org or (520) 256-4169. \nNOTE:  There is a required orientation meeting via Zoom on September 5\, 2023\, from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm.
