SUMMARY:Instructional Best Practice Day 1
DESCRIPTION:This class will be 4 two-hour sessions held on Zoom.  You MUST attend ALL 4 sessions to earn credit for this class. \nThis course is an introduction to the design and use of CTE curriculum.  In this highly engaging course teachers will focus on the design and delivery of relevant and engaging lessons. Special emphasis is placed on writing clear\, aligned and measureable objective(s)\, a variety of methods for structuring learning to meet objective(s)\, incorporation of active participation strategies\, developing a strong introduction to each lesson\, and closure to assess learning. These strategies will be woven and modeled throughout the entire course. \nThis is Day 1 of a 2 day set.  You may wish to also sign up for Instructional Best Practices Day 2!  The third class is Classroom Management. \nAll participants who complete this training will receive password-protected access to the AZ CTE Curriculum Consortium with its bank of outstanding lesson plans and/or other valuable resources for CTE programs written by Arizona CTE teachers. \nThere is no homework for this class.  You will only receive 1 ADE Credit if you attend all 8 hours of Instructional Best Practices Day 1 and all 8 hours of Instructional Best Practices Day 2. \nThis course is excellent for every teacher! Ace your next evaluation!

DESCRIPTION:Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) will take your CTE Program to the next level. Teachers that have strong student organizations love the benefits of having students involved in them. Students become leaders\, take ownership in their CTE Program\, increase their technical knowledge and skill through completion\, and make friends. \nSkills USA\, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)\, Future Farmers of America (FFA)\, Health Occupation Students Association (HOSA)\, Distribute Education Club of America (DECA)\, Family\, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and Educators Rising are the seven approved CTSO’s in Arizona. \nCome and learn about the CTSO that YOU will be advising! This is a very practical\, hands-on course that provides the information\, guidance and time you need to start a chapter and met the requirements for having a chapter. Come ready to work! By the end of the course you will breathe a big sigh of relief as you will feel empowered to get your chapter up and running. \nNote: There is homework associated with this class if you wish to earn ADE credit.
