SUMMARY:Foundations of Classroom Management
DESCRIPTION:Level 1\nThis class is designed for new CTE teachers\n\nEvent Details: \n\nDay 1: Wednesday\, July 8\, 2026 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm\nDay 2: Thursday\, July 9\, 2026 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm\n\nThis course is equivalent to the previous Classroom Management course\, which has been restructured into a three-level series\, with Foundations of Classroom Management as the first level. Due to this change\, the ADE will not accept certificates for both Classroom Management and Foundations of Classroom Management. \nThis foundational course is designed to equip emerging educators with the essential knowledge and skills necessary to develop a positive learning environment. Participants will explore various aspects of the education profession\, including terminology\, characteristics of professional conduct\, and classroom management strategies. Through a detailed examination\, participants will develop clear and enforceable rules that promote respect\, responsibility\, and safety. Participants will examine the role of consequences in shaping student behavior and promoting accountability while creating and implementing consistent procedures to streamline classroom activities and maximize instructional time. By the course’s conclusion\, educators will emerge equipped with practical tools and insights to navigate the complexities of classroom management with confidence and professionalism. \nUpon successful completion of the course\, which includes the submission of homework\, participants will receive an ADE certificate for 15 professional development clock hours\, which equates to one (1) semester hour of coursework.
