DESCRIPTION:Event Details:\n\nLevel 4\nThis class is designed for CTE teachers in at least their 2nd year of teaching\nParticipants must work in a state-approved CTE program\nOption B approved course\nPlease bring a laptop\n\nLunch: Lunch will be provided by MICTED. There is also an on site vending machine system and refrigerator available for anyone who wants to pack a lunch. \nWhat constitutes an “approved program?”  Come and learn in depth what is required to ensure that your program is in compliance and eligible to receive Federal\, State\, CTED\, and JTED funding. You will leave with the skills needed to manage the many facets of running a premier CTE program\, including: purchasing\, collection of data\, reports\, advisory committees\, and program assessments\, attracting and retaining non-traditional students\, and more. \nUpon successful completion of the course\, which includes submission of homework\, participants will receive an ADE certificate for 15 professional development clock hours\, which equates to one (1) semester hour of coursework.

If you have questions\, please contact PD@west-mec.org \n\nLevel 4\nPrerequisite: Completion of Work-Based Learning\nThis class is designed for teachers in at least their 2nd year\nThis class is designed for CTE teachers who create and implement a School-Based Enterprise\nParticipants must create a business plan for a new School-Based Enterprise (SBE) or an in-depth analysis of a current SBE to earn ADE credit\nOption B approved course\n\nThis is a synchronous course that will have five (5) virtual meetings  \n\nParticipants are required to be on camera and have a functioning microphone for the duration of all five virtual session\nParticipants must attend from a quiet\, uninterrupted space\nThis is an interactive class that will require your active participation\nAfter registering\, a Zoom link will be sent\n\nParticipants must attend all five (5) virtual meetings from 4 pm-6 pm \n\nMonday\, Janaury 12\, 2026\nMonday\, Janaury 26\, 2026\nMonday\, February 2\, 2026\nMonday\, February 9\, 2026\nMonday\, February 23\, 2026\n\nAn effective school-based enterprise (SBE) provides students with the unique opportunity to develop and practice real-world industry experience while serving the needs of their campus and/or community! This course is designed to help participants successfully develop and manage a successful SBE. \nParticipants will analyze the key components of SBEs and identify the differences between this model and other forms of work-based learning. Participants will also identify the key elements necessary for planning and implementing a school-based enterprise\, including best practices and record-keeping requirements.
