DESCRIPTION:Join us for one or all CTSO Advanced Trainings. Learn from experts on how to advance your CTSO to the next level. \nParticipants who participate in 4 out of the 5 courses and who complete the follow-up assignments will have the opportunity to earn 15 CEU hours approved by ADE to be used for their standard CTE certificate or for recertification hours. \nCourse descriptions for the CTSO Advanced Mini Sessions: \n“Establishing a Firm Foundation for Your CTSO”\nIn this mini-session participants will review the requirements to maintain a CTSO in good standing\, differentiate between a CTSO Constitution and Bylaws\, and discuss the legal and ethical considerations of being an advisor and traveling with students. \n“Growing Your Program”\nIn this mini-session participant will discuss strategies and opportunities to improve public relations in your school and community to grow your CTSO program. Participants will discuss the process for planning\, conducting\, and holding a successful event and analyze the use of social media for promotional purposes. \n“Building a Solid Officer Team”\nIn this mini-session participants will identify the requirements for CTSO officer duties and share strategies for selecting a solid and productive officer team. \n“Successfully Implementing a Program of Work”\nIn this mini-session participants will identify the appropriate activities for each Program of Work category (professional development\, community service\, social\, fundraising\, and public relations) and share best practices for establishing a system of accountability to accomplish POW tasks. \n“Running an Effective Meeting”-Parliamentary Procedures\nIn this mini-session participants will identify the review the purpose and history of parliamentary procedure and practice the process by engaging in a simulated meeting. \nThese courses are FREE! \nLocation:\nVirtual \nLink: https://fblaarizona.wufoo.com/forms/ctso-advanced-training-2022/ \nDate: Dec. 5 – 9\, 2022 \nTime: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
