DESCRIPTION:Session Dates:  May 23 – June 19\, 2022 \n\nLevel 2 CTE Class\nNo prerequisite\nThis class is designed for all CTE teachers who must sit for the Assessment of Professional Knowledge Test.\n\nThis asynchronous\, online class allows you to learn at your own pace.  You can access lectures\, readings\, and other learning materials to complete assignments and other activities at any time during this six-week period. A big benefit to asynchronous classes is\, of course\, the flexibility. \nAre you prepared to take AEPA Professional Knowledge Assessment for Secondary Education? SUMMARY:Instructional Best Practices (Day 1)
DESCRIPTION:This 2-day course is an introduction to the design and use of CTE curriculum.  You will outline the 6 parts to a CTED lesson\, focusing on the design and delivery of relevant and engaging lessons. Special emphasis is placed on writing clear\, aligned and measureable objective(s)\, a variety of methods for structuring learning to meet objective(s)\, incorporation of active participation strategies\, developing a strong introduction to each lesson\, and closure to assess learning.  On day two\, learn how to design bellwork\, an introduction for both the class and the lab and a closure for both the class and the lab.  These strategies will be woven and modeled throughout the entire course.   This course is excellent for every teacher!
