SUMMARY:Laboratory Safety and Management
DESCRIPTION:Are you ready for students in the lab?  This workshop is designed to help participants develop a laboratory improvement plan including management\, clean-up procedures\, safety procedures\, and meeting monitoring agency mandates. Join us as we identify a variety of practical steps you can take to ensure that your students are safe in the laboratory and that you are protected. Participants will have the opportunity to evaluate their CTE labs and develop a management system for their CTE labs. You will also be treated to a variety of techniques to enable you to manage your lab effectively and efficiently.   Additionally\, you will gain new skills needed to utilize a proven methodology of teaching in the lab or shop. \nThe course runs 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. each day with a 30-minute lunch. \nNote: There is homework associated with this class if you wish to earn ADE credit.

DESCRIPTION:You and your officers will work as a team to select officer duties\, submit a constitution and/or by-laws\, develop a first draft of the annual Program of Work\, create an agenda for an upcoming meeting\, and more.  Your CTSO State Advisor and a State Officer will be joining us for this training. \nPlease invite 4-7 officers or potential officers to the training! Teachers are encouraged to attend and fully engage with their teams for the whole day. \nThe course runs 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. each day with a 30-minute lunch. \nNOTE:  Both CTSO Officer Training and Advanced Officer Training courses are required for ADE certificate.
