Dear ACTEAZ Members!
ACTEAZ members have opportunities to advance their careers through multiple
professional growth opportunities throughout the year. Some of the strengths of
your state organization are the professional development opportunities that
it provides. In addition, some trainings are provided in conjuction with their networking partners such as: the Arizona
Department of Education, Tech Prep and ACOVA.
Training sessions are offered based upon the needs of the
members or requested offerings by the industries that they train students. As the industries change so should the content that we
provide in our classes in order to deliver the value we promise. As new laws or
regulatory requirements go into effect, these can have a major impact on the
workforce and new opportunities for training and certification programs must also be in place.
ACTEAZ will
continue to tailor their conferences and services to the unique demand and needs of the
membership. To do so, we are continuing to ask that members continue to request
the areas for professional development that they are finding they need to
meet the pressing needs of remaining current in their classroom instruction.
Working together we can continue to remain on the "cutting edge" for the
students and industries we serve. As Career Technical Education Professionals
we do know that new laws or regulatory requirements can have a major impact on
the training curriculum and information needed for instruction. It is critical
that we, as an association, continue to work with our industry partners to
provide the best possible information in instruction and training. We know the
extreme importance in Career Technical Education for preparation to compete in
a global economy and a global marketplace.
So ACTEAZ Members, please let us know what professional development needs you would like
addressed at our conferences and trainings throughout this school year and also
at the ACTE 2009 Summer Conference. We are looking forward to hearing from you.
