About Hosa

HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) is a student-led Career and Technical Student Organization whose mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry. HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary and collegiate students interested in a career in health care. HOSA helps build the confidence of students in themselves and their work by providing opportunities to assume responsibilities and by developing personal and occupational competencies and social skills that lead to realistic choices of careers and successful employment in the health care field. HOSA has over 3,800 members; over 1000 members attended their state conference this year. For more information, contact Jane Shovlin, (602) 228-5281, Evelyn Irvine, Administrative Assistant, (602) 542-5197, or go to the HOSA website at www.azhosa.org.
